|The Department of Human Services – Young People page has information on services, programs and initiatives to help young people be safe, grow their abilities, and become more involved in their communities.|
The aim is to assist ALL community members to meet their information, educational, cultural and recreational needs. You can read or borrow many types of media ranging from books to CD’s or use any one of the many services the local library has to offer such as accessing the Internet.
The Youth Services Program provides a range of services to assist young people between the ages of 10-25 years including counselling, family mediation, peer support and self help at no cost. The School Focused Youth Service is a state-wide initiative supporting prevention and early intervention strategies for vulnerable young people between 10 to 18 years of age (with a focus on 10-16 years).
