The launch of the partnership between Cummins South Pacific and Point Cook Senior Secondary College Trade Training Centre was held on 20 March 2014 at Point Cook Senior Trade Training Centre. This Partnership is a unique and innovative school business partnership brokered by WynBay LLEN.
The Point Cook Trade Training Centre is part of the Hobsons Bay TTC Consortium instigated, brokered and project supported by the LLEN. The facility at Point Cook Senior Secondary College is a multi-million dollar project dedicated to the provision of vocational education and training in heavy diesel, building construction and avionics.
The Point Cook Senior Trade Training Centre's heavy diesel training facility is equipped with diesel engines and other equipment donated by Cummins and maintained by Cummins qualified Technicians.
These facilities will allow for increased business input into students education in all vocational areas and will also be available for businesses looking at further training for their staff.
