Hobsons Bay Trade Training Centre Hubs

Hobsons Bay Trade Training Centre Hubs represent the single largest investment in VET in Hobsons Bay. Total funding approved by the Department of Education and Department of Employment (former DEEWR) for the Hobsons Bay TTC was $7.49 million.

Following an extensive selection process involving regional stakeholders Y2 Architecture was selected at the Principal Consultant for TTC Hubs on Government school sites, and provided project management design and quantity surveying services. Emmanuel College appointed Watson Young Architects for the Electrotechnology TTC hub.Construction of all sites was completed and the project successfully acquitted. Service agreement completed with Kangan TAFE in 2013.

Hobsons Bay Trade Training Centre hubs are located on 4 school sites. 

  • Bayside P-12 College;
  • Point Cook Senior Secondary College;
  • Laverton P-12 College; and
  • Emmanuel College - Notre Dame Campus; 

The hubs will offer Certificate II courses and selection of Certificate III units: Automotive (Light Vehicle), Carpentry, Automotive (Heavy Vehicle), Auto Electrical, Electrotechnology, Hospitality and Engineering.
