About Us

WynBay LLEN (Wyndham and Hobsons Bay Local Learning and Employment Network) is an independent incorporated organisation focused on establishing strategic partnerships between businesses, local government, educational and training providers, and community organisations.

Established in 2001 in response to the Kirby Report on education outcomes in Victoria, WynBay LLEN is one of 31 Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLENs) across Victoria, funded by the Victorian Government.

From 2023 to 2025, WynBay LLEN is delivering the School to Work program in partnership with the Department of Education. We work with secondary schools and industry to provide access to quality work-based learning (WBL) opportunities that meet the needs of local students and industry.

WynBay LLEN, as a school-to-work provider, supports secondary school students by organising activities that connect them to the world of work, including:

  • Work placements, including SWL and work experience

  • Guest speakers and presenters from industry

  • Workplace visits and industry tours

  • Work-readiness or life skills programs and activities that directly involve industry or employers, such as mock interviews or resume writing.

In addition to the school-to-work program, WynBay LLEN leads two established VETDSS Clusters in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay, which have successfully operated for over 15 years. The strategic aim of these partnerships is to support schools through cluster collaboration, providing access to high-quality, locally delivered VET opportunities and a diverse range of affordable courses within schools. These VETDSS cluster partnerships help students build strong pathways to further education, training, or employment. For more details about our VETDSS Clusters, click here.
